With its exceptional natural beauty, original historic buildings and a poignant history, the Quarantine Station offers a unique and diverse range of stimulating, interactive education programs for primary, secondary and tertiary students
All of our education programs are designed to complement the key learning areas of English, HSIE, PDHPE, Drama, History, and Biology.
Each program includes a comprehensive Teacher's Resource Kit with:
- Suggested pre and post visit activities
- Explicit Outcomes and links to Key Learning Areas
- Outline of the experience components
- Overview of the history of the Quarantine Station
- A bibliography and a list of suggested resources
- Primary source material booklet and worksheets
Our programs may be extended to full day programs & can be customised to meet specific learning goals & interests.
School Holiday Programs are also available for Vacation Care Centres

The historical Quarantine Station on Sydney’s North Head is a place of stunning natural beauty with a poignant history. Join us for a Teach Meet in this amazing place, now known as Q Station.
This is an opportunity to meet with other teachers across stages and specialisations to share practice, support one another and get inspired, by each other and by the setting.
Free one-hour tours by the Q Station Education Team of the Wharf & Hospital precincts at 9:30am and at 12:30 pm. Bookings required via our Google form
Please note the Q Station site is large. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the event in order to have enough time to find your free parking and traverse the site!
Primary – Tertiary level Quarantine Station Education Programs compliment key learning areas of History, HSIE, English, PD/H/PE, Drama and Science & in line with the Australian National Curriculum. The Q Station Education team is happy to meet with teachers to discuss curriculum ideas and to collaborate on custom experiences to meet particular goals and interests.
